There's no "before" picture because we were all too busy eating....sorry. MMM they were good! Thanks to Afanasi and Fedya for the great pasta bowl! We used the ice cream scoop from Barbara and Gerry later in the night for homemade vanilla and caramel gelato.

Sebastian came down to the gym today to work out with Mommy and Auntie Jen---he's in the back pack while I treadmill, then the stroller while I did the elliptical. When I go collapse in the corner, he gets to crawl around while we wait for Auntie Jen...

Update on Sebastian and his crib....the first night, after the aforementioned hour of crying, he fell asleep, and slept till 3:30am. Heaven. He ate and went back to sleep and I sat there wondering: do I put him in the crib or take him to bed, knowing full well I was in no mood for an hour of screaming. As I set him in his crib, he woke up, looked at me, as if to say " Why don't you just pick me up, and we'll just pretend this never happened..." so I did. And it was fine. Bedtime night #2? He fell asleep eating and stayed asleep through the transfer to the crib...totally lucked out. The picture is from naptime today. Having cried a little, I hear the crying stop and the bouncing start. Then it's quiet again. So I go in to peek at him and he is standing up, bouncing, spit up on his face, and no pants. He was so proud of himself for taking off his pants! Can't you tell?

He's asleep, but is he breathing?
Naptime today was nonexistent. Sebastian screamed for 2 hours in his crib, then realizing that screaming would not rescue him, he decided perhaps his cuteness would....and it did. I heard silence, then rustling, then...jump jump jump.....he was holding the side of his crib, with a huge grin on his face, jumping away. Too cute. Could you resist? Back at it again at bedtime, Sebastian screamed for only one hour before sleep found him. It's quiet in there now and I can't help going in there every two minutes to check on him....I'd put a picture of Sebastian sleeping in his crib but I'm afraid of waking him up! He's been asleep in his crib a whole two hours. I think this is a record. Where's my prize? Oh yah...my big empty bed!!

Sebastian's Christmas Begins!
Dave's parents joined us the weekend before Christmas in Portland for the start of Sebastian's first Christmas....his favorite present? The wrapping paper of course!
