Three cakes, really?! Carrot cake, buttermilk chocolate cake (Nana's specialty) and Nonna's lemon cake with marshmallowy frosting. Add two flavors of gelato (vanilla, and Mommy G's new favorite--yellow cake with chocolate frosting) and you get sugar overload! Sebastian suffered through a round of happy birthday on the accordian, Auntie Jen shoving his hand into the cake, and then a few little tastes of the cake....what a day!

Luckily we had a nice little alcove all to ourselves...Sebastian spent most of the evening making the rounds, climbing the stairs, and surveying the kitchen chaos, before falling asleep in Mommy G's arms.

This is where it all started a year ago....after a nice big hamburger and fries, and lots and lots of water, I went into labor here at Henry's. Dave had to walk (or more likely RUN) back to Jen's apartment to get the car, while I waited anxiously in the restroom with Bebe...a few hours later and Sebastian had arrived!!

Sebastian and Soren play the piano together. Soren tried giving Sebastian cute little hugs while Mommy G made sure that Sebastian didn't sink his teeth into Soren (Sebastian has started biting--hard!)
