The inaugural BBQ for Papa's new baby....we feasted on Tritip, Chickens and Pork Ribs...not to mention the corn, veggies, potato salad, biscuits, cornbread, cheesecake.....

After our movie, we headed to Basilico, a fabulous Italian restaurant that had a place set at the table just for Sebastian. He did great, eating everything we did--fried asparagus, breadsticks, saffron rice balls with mozzarella, meatballs, pasta with spicy sausage and tomato sauce, and even a little veal! Dessert took a little too long for Mr Impatient, but he enjoyed going outside to play with the mailbox and look and the posters nailed all over the light posts, while we feasted on the best little donuts dipped in chocolate and an incredible warm chocolate hazelnut tart. YUM!

Here we are waiting for the streetcar to take us to see "Madagascar". Sebastian fell asleep on the way there, but woke up when the movie started. He laughed, and clapped, ate a ton of popcorn and thoroughly entertained us! About half way through he'd had enough and fell asleep....too much excitement!

..he's just got to wear shades!! It took about 10 pictures to catch one with the glasses and hat on....he used to love wearing hats, or at least tolerate them, and now he can't throw them off fast enough. Maybe if he knew how cute he was with them on....

It was nearly 95 on this day---we went for a nice swim with our friend Sarah and her daughter Genevieve, then headed to the park for this great picnic. Shade, a nice breeze, so much better than our house which was about 88 inside!!

There was strawberry rhubarb pie and cookie pie, with ice cream and caramel sauce for his birthday party, but at midnight on his actual birthday, Dave feasted on Rice Krispie treats. Sebastian was in a particularily fowl mood that evening, and RK treats were all we could manage in the kitchen.

The community center by our house has a fantastic pool. Sebastian and I took Daddy D (on his birthday after pancake breakfast) to show him how much fun it was---yah!

It is super shallow at one end for Sebastian to walk around, has a water slide for when he's older, and lots of nobs and wheels and pulleys and faucets that water shoots out of--lots to do! Sebastian is so engrossed in the drain grates he can't even look at me for the picture (believe me I tried forever---this is one in a series of I think 20 pictures I tried to get him to look at me!)

Sebastian and Daddy D got me a new BBQ for mother's day---just in time for Daddy D's birthday BBQ party (no really---I love it---it's EXACTLY what I wanted---perfect!) It was well broken in by the end of the night--ribs and sausages for a huge crowd for Daddy D's brithday---our first real party since Sebastian was born---we were up till after 3! The best part was Sebastian, in all his baby rock star training, went to bed at 9 and slept through the rest of the party!

Don't you remember when you were little and cold water didn't feel so cold? I remember swimming in the ocean off the Oregon Coast. We're talking freezing here....you come out of the water and your legs are all blue and numb? The fountain isn't that cold, but it's no hot springs either. Sebastian, however, LOVES it. After many failed attempts when he was younger, he's finally come around....

Auntie Jen, Mommy G and Sebastian hit the outlet malls last Thursday. We were just supposed to be looking for Auntie, but found a few cute things for Daddy D and Sebastian--including these new super cute jammies from baby gap---we got some tiki surfboard ones as well....pictures later!
